Pembahasan:
Pada soal di atas meminta kita untuk memberikan fakta dari suatu kalimat. Pada kalimat tersebut disebutkan “If I had had free time, I would have watched the movie together with my friends” yang memiliki arti “Jika saya punya waktu luang, saya akan menonton film bersama dengan teman-teman saya”.
Kalimat pada soal di atas merupakan penggunaan if clause tipe third conditional yang berfungsi untuk menyatakan penyesalan tentang hal yang tidak dilakukan. Pola untuk kalimat third conditional, yaitu If + S + had + V3 + O, S + would have + V3 + O.
Kalimat tersebut merupakan kalimat pengandaian, sehingga fakta yang sebenarnya adalah “I didn’t have free time. Therefore, I didn’t watch the movie together with my friend” yang memiliki arti “Saya tidak punya waktu luang. Oleh karena itu, saya tidak menonton film bersama dengan teman saya”.
Jadi, jawaban yang benar adalah (A) I didn’t have free time. Therefore, I didn’t watch the movie together with my friend.
